The piece features the familiar hymn tune "The King of Love My Shepherd Is" and poetic text based on the 23rd Psalm, with climbing bass notes and flowing LV arpeggios. Envisioning the verse, “In death’s dark vale, I fear no ill,” the piece changes to minor, emphasized by haunting handchimes.
This arrangement is a lovely addition to a worship service or concert!
